Closing the gap in your smile
Dr. Keven R. Mills provides dental bridges to replace your missing teeth and restore your smile. We may recommend a dental bridge if you are missing a single tooth or several teeth in a row.
When you visit our office to learn about your options for replacing your missing tooth or teeth, our dentist will discuss all your options with you and help you select a replacement that will be beneficial for your oral health and smile and which will also match your lifestyle.
Dental bridges are non-removable oral appliances. A bridge consists of one or more prosthetic teeth, which are anchored to dental crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap in your smile. These crowns hold your bridge in place to ensure a stable and long-lasting restoration. Bridges may also be anchored by dental implants.
There are many benefits to receiving a dental bridge, including:
- A restored ability to chew, speak and eat normally
- Keeping your remaining teeth in their proper positions
- Improving the appearance of your smile
- Relieving stress on your bite
- Improving the shape and volume of your face
- Replacing your removable partial denture
It typically requires at least two appointments to complete your dental bridges and finish restoring your smile. However, our office features a state-of-the-art CEREC machine, which we can use to design and create your prosthetic teeth in a single appointment. Our dentist will use our CEREC technology to capture images of your mouth, which will then be converted into a 3D model. We will design your customized dental bridge and immediately mill it while you wait in our office. After your bridge has been created, we will place it in your mouth, check that it fits properly and anchor it in place.
