If you’re sick, no matter if it’s the cold or stomach flu, there are things you need to do when you use your toothbrush. That way you can take good care of your toothbrush and smile. So, when you’re sick, our dentist, Dr. Keven R. Mills, strongly recommends doing the following things:

-Wash your hands before you brush your teeth.

-Rinse your toothbrush with warm water after you’re done brushing.

-Sit your toothbrush upright and allow it to air dry.

-Don’t cover your toothbrush with a toothbrush cover until the bristles are completely dry.

-Don’t share your toothbrush with anyone, not even family members.

-Use a different tube of toothpaste than everyone else in your family.

-Don’t place your toothbrush in a toothbrush holder if your family members’ toothbrushes are in it.

-Throw your toothbrush away and buy a new one after you have recovered from your sickness.
